What is the BoBo Core Training Balance Board?

Getting Started with BoBo

The BoBo Core Training Balance Board tests your balance and includes an app with a variety of fun games to play while balancing. I recently got this device and it’s my favorite balance board. BoBo offers creative exercise games including mini golf, car racing, mazes and more. These games work by shifting your balance to make the object move on the screen.

Once you have the BoBo balance board, you can get started in 3 easy steps:

  1. Download the app to any mobile device and connect via Bluetooth.
  2. Create a profile.
  3. Select training, games, or challenge.

After your selected activity has been completed, the app will give a report on how well you did. The workout is a good first step for getting used to the device and determining your baseline. Every game and workout has an easy, medium, and hard option. BoBo’s products make the workouts much more challenging, engaging and fun while in the comfort of your home.

The training option (shown above) tests your balance by standing on the board while trying to keep a ball inside of a green circle.

Benefits of Using a Balance Board

The Bobo Core Training Balance Board was created in 2015 by two physiotherapists who wanted to help patients become more motivated when exercising. This balancing board is a great form of rehabilitation for balance. It tests the balance of the individual using games and workouts on the app. By shifting your balance, the balance board trains the ankles and lower legs to become stronger, improving range of motion. According to Katie Anderson, a clinical exercise physiologist, “A balance board is a great tool allowing you to move your ankles through their complete range of motion, regular use can help to increase overall range of motion, strength and balance in the ankle joint.”

Balancing boards are great for exercise. Healthline states that balance board training can improve your body’s ability to sense its location, movements, and actions. Regular use of balance boards helps you activate deep stabilizing muscles in the abdomen, back, and legs. This continuous engagement of these muscle groups can help with stabilization.

Incorporating balancing board exercises into a fitness routine can contribute to improved posture, agility, and overall physical performance, making it a valuable addition to any workout routine.
