Dr. Hannah Shorrock is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Dr. Andy Berglund at the RNA Institute, University at Albany. She received her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Synthetic Organic Chemistry from University College London in 2014. In 2017 she completed her PhD in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at The University of Edinburgh under the mentorship of Professor Tom Gillingwater. Her subsequent postdoctoral research with Dr. Laura Ranum at the University of Florida focused on repeat-associated non-ATG translation in spinocerebellar ataxia type 8. After joining the Berglund lab, her research has focused on therapy development for CAG repeat expansion diseases.
