Perceptions of Swallowing and Experiences of Dysphagia Among People with Ataxia

Perceptions of Swallowing and Experiences of Dysphagia Among People with Ataxia

The goal of this study is to explore how adults with ataxia and their caregivers experience and navigate swallowing difficulties. We are interested in learning more about the swallowing symptoms experienced by people with ataxia, the impact of swallowing difficulties in daily life, experiences with swallowing evaluation and treatment services, and perspectives on the importance and effectiveness of swallowing treatment.
