Only 26 spots remain in the 2020 Joint Mission Bataan to Cure Ataxia campaign. Would you like to join us?
To refresh your memory, this campaign, that we call JMB, is an expansion of last years’ effort led by North Carolina resident, Mike De Rosa and Ed Brand from New York. Mike and Ed took part in the 2019 Bataan Memorial Death March, a 26.2-mile walk/hike through the desert highlands, near the White Sands Missile Base in New Mexico. Through their combined efforts Mike and Ed raised more than $35,000 in support of NAF. Please check out the video of their effort below.
Seeking a JMB Rep from Every State
Our effort for 2020 is to find 50 representatives, one for each state, to take part in this year’s effort. With 24 people committed, we would like to have 26 more people fill out our team in 2020. Are you one of the 26? Attached please find a fact sheet about this years’ campaign. This will answer many of your questions. You’ll find some unique incentives for those who join our team.
After you’ve had a chance to watch the video and review the fact sheet and believe that you would like to join our team, contact me at joel@ataxia.org or call me at 763-231-2748. I look forward to hearing from you.

I think theses guys are brave, doing great thing raising money for research .I hope and pray that they find a cure praise God Amen. Me and my two brother have hereditary ataxia (sca) 7.
When is the Ataxia conference in Denver, CO, 2020. I’d like to go BUT I won’t be staying in a hotel or eating the food. I have a son in Firestone, CO and I have a feeding tube. Would I be able to get a price break?
Hi Marti! We hope you’ll be able to join us. If you register before January 24th, you receive the early registration discount. The registration fee allows access to any of the event functions, but you are not required to attend. Unfortunately, there are no discounts if you do not attend some of the functions. However, I encourage you to apply for a travel grant to help cover the cost of your registration. You can find the link to apply at https://ataxia.org/2020-annual-ataxia-conference/
